Digitalisation and The Halal Industry

Globally, there are almost 2 billion of Muslims from the 7.6 billion people in the world. Due to religious reasons, this enormous market of Muslims consciously seeks trusted, halal certified sources for their food, cosmetics, home care, pharmaceuticals, daily products and Syariah complied products to invest in. According to statistics, the global Halal market value that is recorded at approximately 1.4 trillion USD in 2017 is expected to reach 2.6 trillion USD in 2023.

Blockchain – with its characteristic that is high in transparency and traceability will be a good solution in providing reliable data and increase trust in the halal supply chains; increase seamless and efficient halal process from source to point of consumer purchase; improve sustainability of halal supply chains; and increase consumer’s confidence in halal brands; and global recognition of halal products. Halal blockchains provide clear advantages for manufacturers, brand owners, retailers, logistics service providers, distributors, and halal certification bodies for better trust and authenticity.

Hosted by Penang International Halal Hub, the Global Blockchained Halal Industry Forum 2019 (GBHIF2019) is held in conjunction with 10th Penang International Halal Expo & Conference 2019; adopting the theme ‘Digitalisation and The Halal Industry’ is set to provide an interactive platform for the halal industry stakeholders to better understand the impact of Blockchain Revolution and its technological advances on their business models and operating processes.

PAYMENT

Full payment is required with your Registration Form before the Conference day. Tax-Receipt will only be issued upon receipt of full payment. Conference registration fee includes lunch and refreshments. The Conference registration fee, however, does not include travel, accommodation and incidental costs. All payments should be made in USD ($) by bank draft, telegraphic transfer or cash only. All registrations by fax or post MUST reach us before 15 February 2019, after which late registrations will be considered as “WALK-INs” and subjected to “WALK-IN” fee.

 

PARTICIPATION TERM & CONDITION

Delegates may be substituted at any time, in writing, at NO extra charge. Cancellations received in writing before before 15 February 2019 will be refunded, less a USD100 administrative fee. Cancellations received thereafter are not refundable. Confexhub reserves the right to reschedule or cancel the conference, exhibition, cocktail reception, due to circumstances beyond their control and reserves the right to make changes to the conference program or speakers without prior notice. Should the event and all its related activities be cancelled, curtailed or adversely affected by any cause not within the reasonable control of Confexhub including but not limited to war, fire, national emergency, labor dispute, strike, lock-out, civil disturbance, Act of God, or non-availability of premises for any reason, Confexhub shall be under no obligation to refund all or part of the sums paid by the delegate in respect of his/her participation in the workshop. Confexhub shall be under no liability to the delegate or any other person in respect of any actions, proceedings, claims, demands, losses (including consequential losses), costs or expenses whatsoever which may be brought against or suffered or incurred by the delegate as the result thereof.
